+After discussion with Tony, we have decided it would be beneficial to drop the MarkLogic/Parthenon system and create our own. There are a few ways to skin this particular cat, such as:
+  * create a Book Review module for the existing system in PHP
+  * create a standalone system (in Python? PHP?) with an API for extracting the information
+  * find an off-the-shelf system that we can plug-in to the Xaraya system with the minimum amount of work.
+I prefer the first option (PHP module for the Xaraya system) but I may be biased in this assessment.
+There is currently no clear specification for the new system but it should obviously have all the functionality of the existing system. Possibly with the addition of allowing members to enter their review online and have it approved by the current Book Review facilitator.
