Title: Incremental Software Devlivery
Proposer: ed_sykes
Type: Workshop
Duration: 90 minutes
Description: Breaking work down incrementally is difficult and many struggle with it. This workshop is designed to show how to think incrementally and how this can benefit supplier and customer.

It will be a series of 90 minute workshops, held over a day. Each workshop involves a pizza team of 7. The subject of the workshop is to teach how to think of delivering incrementally. This is done through working through a customer requirement: “I need to get to the market to sell my bananas”

Participants would need to be prepared to attend a session and then run a session immediately afterwards. I'll try and explain it thus:

Workshop 1: 7 participants work through the workshop with me acting as the customer. We'll tease out the requirements and figure out how to build the product that the customer needs incrementally.

Workshop 2: 7 participants from the previous workshop hold their own workshop. This means a total of 49 participants could attend. I rotate around teams and help anyone that needs it.

Workshop 3: Upto 49 participants from the previous workshop hold their own workshop, This means a Upto 343 participants could attend. The first 7 participants and I rotate around the groups.

Workshop 4: You could take this one further and everyone will have been taught incremental delivery. Likely that there wouldn't be demand to do this.

Roger: Interesting idea. Would the practicalities (number of rooms needed simultaneously) be achievable?
[Ewan: ambitious, but while I'd like to see something like this succeed, my first reaction is that there will be too much other stuff going on at the event]
