Title: Lean Principles For Leading Organizational Change
Proposer: matt_barcomb
Type: Tutorial
Duration: 90 minutes
Description:
Conversations about Lean often turn immediately to eliminating waste. While certainly important, this tends to overshadow other principles and doesn't provide much insight into organizational change. This session focuses on three of the Lean principles that can help facilitate organizational culture change. First is “Amplify Learning,” reviewing concepts and techniques that can help build a continuously learning organization. Next is “Decide as late as possible,” which will help attendees simplify planning and budgeting processes. Finally, “Build integrity in” looks at decision-making practices for leaders at all levels.
Come to this session to engage with applicable content and hands-on activities for each of these three principles. Leave this session with ideas to put into practice in your organization.
Roger: weakly in favour
