Title: More effective presentations
Proposer: dirk_haun
Type: Tutorial
Duration: 90 minutes
Description: Presentations have found their way from conferences into everyday life and business. Most presentations, however, are boring, confusing, and just not very effective. In this tutorial, we will look at why your standard bullet-point driven presentation does not work like you think it will and learn about ways to better structure presentations, to customize them for your target audience and make them more visually appealing (and also learn that using photos is not about adding fluff but does actually help making your presentation more effective).

Let me know if you think this is something that could be of interest for the particpants of the ACCU Conference and I'll clean it up a little and provide a more extensive description. Thank you.

I've been doing a workshop called “Presenting for Geeks” a few times now, in English and in German. For an example in English, see

Roger: weakly in favour
Ewan: also - would be good to fit it in, but I suspect we may struggle]
