Title: Scrum and evolution - what can we learn?
Proposer: matt_turner
Type: Tutorial
Duration: 90 minutes
Description:
Draft: The basic thesis is that Scrum is like evolution / dawkins'
memetics - continuous evaluation for fitness and picking the best
ideas. We evolve the software we make and we evolve the teams we're
in. That has its pitfalls, like over-specialisation, etc. I will also
draw a parallel to evolutionary algorithms, a meta-heuristic search
technique where software programmes are evolved, which i wrote my
Master's thesis on.
