Title: Implications of Conway's Law
Proposer: Rachel Davies
Proposer: Michael Feathers
Type: Workshop
Duration: 90 mins
Description:
Conway's Law is a simple statement - Any organization that designs a system (defined broadly) will produce a design whose structure is a copy of the organization's communication structure. Come to this workshop to reflect on the implications of Conway's Law for software construction and how we should organise software developers working on a large code base.
JJ: Rachel writes - I've run this workshop as a 60 min Agile Coach Barcelona and can provide more details about workshop structure and timings if you need it (doesn't seem to be something you ask for in submission process though)
JJ: Rachel also writes - I've been chatting to Michael Feathers about this topic and there's a small possibility he might be able to co-present with me. Am going to catchup with him at Agile Iceland in a couple of weeks to discuss whether this would be viable.
