This is the “A Day in a Jenkins CI User’s Life” course, that will dress you up to be completely confident with juggling Jenkins jobs as natural part of your everyday work.

The course will take off-set in the fundamental understanding of working with Continuous Integration CI in Jenkins and familiarize the attendees with the vocabulary and concepts of CI that is used in modern software development projects.

The attendees are taught best practices in Jenkins and introduced to common and efficient user scenarios.

We will discuss and work with Continuous Delivery Pipelines, promotions, and attendees will learn how to automate and execute anything from within Jenkins Through the exercises carried out through the day, the attendees will gain fast paced experiences to take home with them, and utilized already the day after.

Objectives
The attendees will learn and understand:

  • A thorough understanding of Continuous Integration and how to utilize it.
  • Jenkins jobs, project types, views, plugins, slaves, configuration, security models - the whole vocabulary.
  • Jenkins best practices spiced up with anecdotes from the instructor’s real-life experience.
  • Jenkins integrations to version control systems
  • Quality Metrics and reports
  • Distributed Build
