There is a lot of talk on Twitter about #noEstimates (or its better named sidekick #beyondEstimates). There are those that are major protaginists. There are the acrive antagonists, but where are you the critical thinker? Are they as good as the protagonists are making them out to be, or are the just a fad as the antagonists would like you to believe?
In this session we'll explore some of the theories and drivers behind current thinking for Agile forecasting and more importantly we'll practice them. Attendess should be able to see how to use historic data to forecast, or just start predicting on the go from ground zero. There is no need to have a degree in statistics to attend, techniques will be explained in a practical (call it Agile) fashion.
Attendees should be able to leave the session knowing how to apply these techniqes and can make their own informed decisions on whether the techniques are practical or fad. (Please bring a laptop with a spreadsheet)
