I've installed the OpenAds server for serving up the banners. The admin can be accessed at: http://accu.org/openads/ (see private emails for login details).

We seem to have several organizations wanting to advertise on the ACCU website. At the moment these are dominently companies looking to hire and recruitment agents. Obviously this can bring us some money but it also has the potential to help the journals and conference.

We should also look to advertise ourselves, our memebership and the conference.

And then we can add like-minded organizations, e.g. XP Day, SPA, etc.

For the moment we would like a simple banner ads system:

• one banner ad shown on each page (every page)
• adds chosen from a pool of banners
• banner is selected randomly (or round robin)
• banner does not change once it is displayed
• banners will not be disabled for members

We need an admin interface that allows us to:

• add new banner ads, with a duration period
• change the duration period on an existing ad (when they renew!)
• downloads stats on: number of times displayed, number of click throughs, perhaps these stats broken down by date
• remove banners

In addition we should add pages to the website:

• listing current advertisers, just a list of banners should do
• details of who to contact for advertising space
• details of hit stats?
• price list?

And we need a contract between the ACCU and the advertiser
